From Director Christopher Nolan comes THE DARK KNIGHT the next movie in the BATMAN series Written by Bob Kane & Christopher Nolan the film is set to hit theaters July 18th 2008. Christian Bale returns as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Heath Ledger (R.I.P 1979-2008) brings back The Joker, Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Rachel Dawes, Michael Caine returns to play Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman returns as Lt. James Gordon, Eric Roberts is Salvatore Maroni, Morgan Freeman returns as Lucius Fox, Aaron Eckhart is playing Harvey Dent, Nestor Carbonell is the Mayor and Anthony Michael Hall is in this flick too!

PLOT SUMMARY: The Dark Knight raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker. Right after taking out Ra's Al Ghul, and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA Scarecrow, Batman continues on his war on crime in the streets of Gotham. But this time, he meets his match when a crazed murdering psychopath called The Joker, starts to bring forth chaos on the streets and makes it a personal agenda to take out the Dark Knight, before he gets to him first.
